ten things adam (& beth) have introduced into my world

ten. all my friends are dead

true confession time: i got this as a secret santa gift a few years back. i never really read it. you see, i don't tend to find humor surrounding death funny. the topic almost always just makes me sad. for example, i can't do the darwin awards. just thinking about it right now is bumming me out. -- however, a few days ago i decided to pick this up and read it. i literally could not stop laughing. seriously, like tears in my eyes laughing.

nine. cassadaga (bright eyes)

"when i feel lost, i am not at all"

i was already a fan of bright eyes when adam implored me to go pick up oberst's seventh album. as usual, good call adam!

eight. french press froth milk

french press coffee is not my favorite (i like my coffee very hot). i also prefer half and half in my coffee over milk. however, french press frothy milk is a game changer!

seven. guilty dog

mia & i introduced adam & beth to this hilarious video...

they then returned the favor with this guy...

i blame these videos for laying the groundwork for the adoptions of cleveland, barley, and sophie.

six. walking dead marathons

ZOMBIES!!! (specifically, marathon viewings of zombies!)

five. beth's bread bowl & veggie dip

ok, so this is pretty much all beth. but seriously though, cannot overstate the deliciousness!

four. charlie bit my finger

this is one of those moments. i will - for the rest of my life - vividly remember adam quoting this video in a terrible impersonation of a young british kid....."char-lie? that weally hurt!...(laughing)...charlie bit me."

three. sriracha

this past decade, leftovers (and munchies) have been so much better!

two. catan

this requires no additional commentary/explanation.

one. abby

if i were casting the dc cinematic universe's justice league

one. an inspired choice, if i do say so myself

two. i've made my feelings known on this one more than once

three. right?!?!

four. liam seems to make it onto several of my casting make-believe blogs, hmmmm...

five. def not alone on this one. rumored about a lot. hopefully hollywood pulls another cumberbatch/strange

six. look at him! he is just so obviously aquaman!

seven. and yes of course they should be doing martian manhunter instead of cyborg. on a related note: idris elba would be a part of both the marvel and the dc cinematic universes...dude would be a legend

one. superman -- matthew lewis (aka neville longbottom)  imdb

ten (more) things...if i ruled hollywood

one. co-bond villains

two. my big fat slumdog millionaire wedding

three. batman '92 done batman '66 style

four. like carrey doing kaufman ... but with more racial slurs

five. castle would find bones positively fascinating, bones would find castle totally annoying, the killer would find getting away with murder frustratingly impossible, and viewers/fans would find the entire thing absolutely awesome!

six. eddie munster & wednesday addams, all grown up!

seven. mcu does scary

eight. the inspiration for both batman and v for vendetta ... the director of pi, requiem for a dream, the fountain, the wrestler, and black swan ... seriously, need i say more?

nine. dear eddie redmayne (the 87th academy awards "best actor" recipient) and academy of motion picture arts & sciences (the award voters), please give michael keaton his oscar! ... you fucking thieves!!

ten. if i could make just one thing into a movie it would without a doubt be brian k vaughan's "saga" (image comics)

one. timothy dalton & pierce brosnan cast as evil 007 bond villains -- i see dalton as the diabolical mastermind and brosnan as the deadly assassin

two. aziz ansari & mindy kaling, the indie (see what i did there?) romcom -- and while we're at it, to ensure it kick's ass, let's have it written/directed by gillian robespierre (obvious child)

three. "batman '66: the animated series" -- the television return of adam west's batman ... or at least his voice anyways. also, neil hamilton, the 60s tv show's commissioner gordon, is no long with us; so i'm thinking kevin conroy! simply put this would have the potential to be the second best animated series (batman or otherwise) of all-time

four. richard pryor bio film -- starring childish gambino ... i mean, donald glover

five. castle & bones -- maybe the best murder mystery tv show crossover ever

six. "the munster-addams family" -- a reimagined/modern-day family sitcom reboot

seven. john hawkes -- cast as the mcu's nightmare, aka my favorite doctor strange villain

eight. the shadow, a darren aronofsky film -- we deserve a screen adaptation that finally lives up to the source material's ridiculously amazing potential

nine. the idea that eddie redmayne's performance in the theory of everything was as deserving, let alone more deserving, than michael keaton's performance in birdman is completely absurd -- gawd, these voters are supposed to be people who know movies!?!?

ten. saga, starring zoe saldana (as alana) & kit harington (as marko) -- in related news, i think i just came in my pants
